Showcasing pollinator habitat on the UCO campus has long been a goal. With Dr. Gloria Caddell, we created the John F. Barthell Pollinator Garden, named for the former UCO provost and pollination ecology enthusiast. This 4,000-square-foot garden, featuring nearly 50 native plant species, serves as an outdoor classroom and resource. Dr. Caddell noted, "More people are noticing the garden, using it for classes, and sharing photos on iNaturalist. It is so satisfying."
