MEMORIAL GROVE - Oklahoma State Capitol

The Memorial Grove at the State Capitol Complex was redesigned and dedicated on the 26th anniversary of the bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building. The planting design uses living symbolism to honor those lost, with 19 crabapple trees for the children, 14 Sawtooth Oaks for military personnel, and 135 ‘Rising Sun’ Redbuds representing the remaining victims. More than 10,000 native perennial plants beneath the canopy provide seasonal continuity and long-term resilience.

SCISSORTAIL PARK POLLINATOR GARDEN - Oklahoma City

This 9,000-square-foot pollinator garden at Scissortail Park, created in partnership with OG&E, uses more than 2,000 native plants to provide critical food and host habitat for Monarch butterflies and other pollinators. The garden serves as both a living landscape and an educational resource within the park.

LAKE MURRAY LODGE - Ardmore, OK

This native-only landscape for the Oklahoma Tourism Department showcases Oklahoma’s natural character while reducing water use and maintenance. Carefully selected native plants provide durable groundcover and meaningful habitat for pollinators.

BUFFALO SITE - Oklahoma City

The site at 23rd Street and Broadway marks a primary gateway into the State Capitol Complex. A major landscape renovation expanded the site using native trees, grasses, and Oklahoma red sandstone to create a natural setting for the bronze buffalo sculptures. The result is a welcoming public space that reflects Oklahoma’s landscape and sense of place.

OKLAHOMA STATE CAPITOL BUILDING

This project included a master plan and landscape improvements for this historic building within the State Capitol grounds, strengthening its relationship to surrounding open space while maintaining a dignified civic presence. Native plants reflect a pride in the tough, yet beautiful flora of Oklahoma.

OKLAHOMA CITY POLICE HEADQUARTERS BUILDING

The site design for the new Police Headquarters was developed to meet city code requirements while addressing functional needs and security considerations specific to the department. The landscape supports controlled access, clear circulation, and a durable public presence appropriate for a civic facility.
